![]() ![]() My review of the hard drive is going to be from a different perspective then most I think. ![]() Yes, it sounds stupid but a guy like me has to have his Windows backups done regularly. So do I recommend it? Sure, just be ready to do some modding in disk management if you don't see your whole 3TB. You may then ask why not have different partitions? It's because those 2TB are inaccessible for whatever reason. My last gripe with this HDD is that it's in exFAT and not NTFS. So I had to take my 100 GB of data of it, wait 90 minutes, delete my partition of 760GB, and combine the whole thing into one huge partition. So when I found this out after forgetting this was 3TB, it kind of pissed me off. A 1.3 TB partition and 2 760 GB partitions. So when I checked disk management I saw 3 partitions. What are those you ask? A partition is kind of like splitting pizza between people. Now for anybody who is not a tech head, this may sound a bit confusing so here is a breakdown. ![]() So when I found out this was a 1TB I rushed to disk management. I know most of the ins and outs of Windows, I'm pretty good with MacOS, and well versed in Linux. The reason is, my HDD is a 760GB NOT a 3TB.I'm a techy guy. From this so far you may be confused as to why I am giving it a 3 star. I do use the HDD (Harddrive) for most things people do like backups, but since I'm building a PC and have been going through my laptop for any files I need it's going to be complicated.First of all, I LOVE this HDD! It has not buckled under any circumstances and has been a lifesaver from a failing internal 1TB HDD. Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2018 ![]()
